Everything you need to know before joining me on a dive trip of a lifetime.

I know how exciting — and sometimes overwhelming — it can feel to join an underwater photography workshop, especially if it’s your first time. That’s why I’ve made sure my workshops are easy to understand, book, and prepare for. This page explains exactly how the process works, so you’ll always know what to expect.

Whether you’re looking to improve your macro skills, explore creative lighting, or just spend time underwater with like-minded ocean lovers, here’s how to get started.

Step 1: Choose the Workshop That Speaks to You

My company Underwater Photo Company runs a small number of in-person underwater photography workshops each year in places like Lembeh, Anilao, and other world-class destinations. Every workshop is designed to help you:

  • Build confidence with your camera and lighting

  • Capture sharp, creative, colourful images

  • Receive daily coaching and gentle, constructive feedback

  • Feel supported and inspired every step of the way

When bookings open, I’ll send you an Info Pack with all the details: dates, inclusions, costs, what you’ll learn, where we’re staying, and how to book.

Step 2: Fill In the Booking Form

Once you’ve chosen your workshop, I’ll send you:

  • A Booking Form
  • The Workshop Info Pack (if you don’t already have it)
  • My Terms & Conditions and Waiver

To reserve your place, simply return the signed booking form and T&Cs, and I’ll send you an invoice for the deposit.

Please note: Your spot is only confirmed once your deposit has been received. Workshop places — and rooms at the resort — are offered on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.

Step 3: Understand the Booking Terms

Because these workshops have limited spaces and involve detailed coordination with dive resorts, I have a clear cancellation policy. Here’s the short version:

  • Deposits are always non-refundable.

  • The full terms are included in the booking documents, which I’ll send to you upfront.

I’m all about transparency, and you’ll never be surprised by hidden costs or unclear policies.

Step 4: Get Ready to Dive In

Once you’re booked, I’ll help you prepare for your adventure! You’ll receive:

  • A pre-trip gear checklist and destination information document.

  • A 30-minute pre-workshop Zoom session with me

  • Tips to help you feel confident before you even step into the water

Step 5: Dive, Learn and Grow

During the workshop, you’ll get:

  • Daily guided dives tailored to underwater photographers

  • Personalised in-water support

  • Illustrated lessons and tutorials

  • Group and 1-on-1 image reviews

  • A relaxed, encouraging environment designed to help you thrive

A Few Important Things to Know

  • All workshop bookings (including accommodation, diving, and early arrival) must be made through me. This ensures a smooth and consistent experience for everyone.

  • I work closely with the resort to coordinate your stay — so you can relax and enjoy the journey.

  • The details I share in all Info Packs are clear and consistent across every destination. If something’s not clear, just ask! I’m always happy to help.

If you’d love to join me on a future trip, have questions about how it all works, or just want to chat about whether a workshop is right for you — I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s make magic underwater!
