Wanting to capture better wide angle uw photos, I made the decision to upgrade from a compact to a mirrorless full frame camera. When the new gear was in place, the joy shifted towards frustration as I did not know where to begin.
The solution came when I noticed an insta post by Kate where she was explaining how the “Introduction to Underwater Photography” could help me. My initial thought was that ‘basic intro’ to uw photo was perhaps a bit too basic (how wrong could I be?!), but thankfully I decided to start the learning process at a fundamental level.
The one-on-one ZOOM sessions with Kate were incredible. She had the ability convey the uw photo basics in such a clear way that no one else had done before; she was able to help me to understand the underlying theory and most importantly the practical application of this; the “why” and the “how” and she also adapted the training in a way to make it specific to the equipment which I had just bought. As the training sessions are in the past, I can now replay the meeting recordings to repeat the key contents and to discover all the things she taught and which I was unable to absorb during our training sessions. My learning continues and will be never ending. Thanks Kate!
